About Type I Cans for Flammable Liquids

Type I safety cans have a single spout for both filling and dispensing flammable liquids.

Fitted with a flame arrestor and self-closing leak-proof lid they are explosion-proof and easy to use with ergonomic handles.

Available in both steel and high density polyethylene capacities range from 0.5 litre right up to 19 litres.

Steel cans are resistant to solvents, fuel ols, kerosene, etc. and the polyethylene models can provide a solution where compatibility with steel is an issue.

Polyethylene cans also have a built in anti-static feature enabling cans to be earthed with an anti-static wire.

Type I or Type II ?

The major difference between Type I and Type II containers is that Type I has a single spout for filling and dispensing, whereas Type II has two spouts, one for filling and a hose for dispensing.

Models are available ranging from 0.5 litre to 19 litre capacity.

The models vary only by size as shown below.

All are fitted with a single spout protected by a flame arrestor and self closing, explosion proof lid.
