Description

Ecosafe EC-795+LI is a 105-minute safety cabinet for storing and charging lithium-ion batteries to ensure the safety of people and property.

Li-ion batteries present certain risks, the most common and significant being thermal runaway, which can occur due to environmental temperature increases, physical impact, or assembly issues with the storage unit. In such cases, the battery can overheat and potentially ignite, leading to a fire.

Battery Storage: Cabinet only with fitted perforated shelves.

Battery Storage and Protection: Cabinets with fitted perforated shelves, an automatic fire extinguisher and containment sump.

Battery Charging with Protection: Cabinets with perforated shelves, a containment sump, and an advanced security and alarm system including visual and audible alarms, a control box, an automatic smoke detector, a fire extinguisher, and cable pass-throughs). ADD Optional socket banks or fit your own. Each bank of sockets come with its own lead independent of the cabinet supply ready to make your own connections. 

Battery Charging with Enhanced Protection: Cabinets with perforated shelves, a containment sump, pre-fitted banks of seven UK sockets (2 in counter-height cabinets and 4 in tall cabinets), an advanced security and alarm system including visual and audible alarms, a control box, an automatic smoke detector, a fire extinguisher, and cable pass-throughs. Each bank of sockets come with its own lead independent of the cabinet supply ready to make your own connections. 


The containment sump must be watertight and resistant to the chemical properties of the collected liquids.

Ecosafe’s expertise and knowledge of the EN14470-1 standard for 105-minute fire-resistant cabinets allow them to offer various sizes to accommodate a wide range of storage needs.

These cabinets can be equipped with perforated shelves (with a high load capacity of up to 100kg per level) and containment sumps at the base of the cabinet to prevent damage from potential electrolyte leaks.

Additionally, battery recharging is possible using integrated power strips.

Ecosafe cabinets provide exceptional fire resistance (105 minutes as tested under European standards), ensuring maximum safety. For enhanced protection, Ecosafe cabinets offer optional safety features which you can specify.

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES

  • Extra perforated shelves with a load capacity of 50kg or 100kg.
  • Removable containment sumps at the bottom of the cabinet that capture spills and leaks.
  • Automatically fire extinguisher triggered at 79°C by a special lithium thermal bulb or via smoke detection if part of the security and alarm package.
  • Specify pre-fitted electrical outlet racks for battery charging.
  • Fire-resistant cables and casings.
  • 3-meter IEC cable for quick disconnection.
  • Cable passage holes in the base with fire-resistant cable.
  • A Security and alarm package includes visual and audible alarms, a control box, a fire extinguisher with automatic smoke detection activation, and a cable duct.

VENTILATION

All cabinet models have ventilation openings, which can be connected to an external ventilation system. Forced ventilation is strongly recommended to prevent heat build-up or the accumulation of vapours inside the cabinet in the event of electrolyte leakage. The cabinet can be connected to either an external outlet or a ventilation/filter box.
